Sharps 4 Barrel .22 Fully Engraved Ivory Grips
Description: This is an 1859 Sharps .22 short black powder pepperbox derringer. It is in perfect condition and looks amazing. Fully and completely engraved, likely during the period of the Civil War by Nimschke for Hartley and Graham. Functions well. I have seen a number of engraved Sharps, but nothing in this category. It is exquisite. The engraving is not simply decorative, but adds an actual art form to the piece. The original ivory grips have pronounced schreger lines and while a bit soiled, are in excellent condition. The finish appears to be an aged gold. This piece has been in a private collection for many successive generations. In fifty years I have never seen another Sharps of this quality. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to acquire a Sharps of this rarity. Partial trades for more common antique pistols of the 1870-1890's possible. Please inquire. Antique and does not require an FFL for a direct sale to a buyer in a locale where this pistol may be legally acquired and possessed without licensing or transfer restrictions. SOLD Antique: Yes Handgun Caliber: .22 Short Condition: Excellent |
