Very Rare Antique Otis A. Smith Top Break .32 S&W pocket revolver
Description: Very Rare Otis A. Smith Pocket Revolver . Only perhaps 3000 Produced in the 1880’s. A somewhat copy of the Smith & Wesson model 1 ½. This model serial # 1013 is very unusual in that it was produced with a brass barrel and frame. Not nickel plated as some of his other models were. The only steel parts were the cylinder, cylinder pin and internal parts. It is a single action , spur trigger Top Break revolver 5 shot , in .32 S&W. The hammer is put in half cock and the barrel latch is pulled backward to open and load. The T shaped barrel latch also contains a floating firing pin. The sliding Rod (cylinder pin) under the barrel is pushed to manually eject the shells. You can remove the cylinder by removing the ejector rod and the extractor which exposes a slotted rod that unscrews allowing you to remove the cylinder. These were made for black powder cartridges Top of barrel marked: SMITH’S PATENT MODEL 1883 SHELL EJECTOR OTIS A. SMITH MANUFACTURER ROCKFALL CONN.U.S.A.
