This McDermot flintlock greatcoat pistol is approx. 10"" in overall length. The 6"" octagon 67 caliber smooth bore barrel has a good bore with light roughness. The rebrowned barrel has an excellent damascus type finish. There are barrel markings that are unreadable. The lock, cock, trigger guard, and butt cap are bright with light staining. The lock is marked McDERMOT. It, and the cock, have light engraving. The trigger guard has a pineapple finial and light engraving. The lock has a roller frizzen, circa 1810. The stock is fine with checkered grips and very little wear. The wood ramrod is present. The action functions correctly. This is a very nice greatcoat flintlock pistol for a very reasonable price.
