This is a fine 1810-dated French Model an 13 (1805) pistol. The overall length is approx. 14"". The 7 7/8"" round 69 caliber smooth bore barrel has an excellent, bright bore. All the metal is bright with very little staining. The barrel is marked FF forward of the touch hole with an impressed star and triangle and impressed star over B above the touch hole. The left flat has a B in an oval and 1810. The barrel tang is marked Mle. an. 13. (Model Year 13). The lock has a crown with T inside at top center and Manufre Imple over de Charleville (Charleville Imperial Manufactory) at bottom center. The brass nose cap, trigger guard, butt cap, and side plate have a smooth even patina. All except the side plate have the crown with T stamp. The side plate has an impressed script D and BH. The stock is very good with sharp edges, light issue dents and dings, no cracks or chips, a rondel with EF and 1810 on the left flat with a crown and BH to the rear. The action function correctly. This fine French Model an 13 pistol is fit for the finest French or European military pistol collection.
