Seller's Inventory #: AH5918
This large Tula Arsenal flintlock pistol is dated 1807. The overall length is approx. 20.75"". The 13.25"" octagon to round smooth bore 62 caliber barrel has a fair bore with roughness. All the metal parts have been chemically cleaned to a dull bright patina. The metal parts have scattered light pitting. The lock is marked TULA (in Cryillic) with 1807 below. The barrel has a partially discernable sink mark that appears to read LONGVION. The brass ramrod pipe, trigger guard, side plate, and butt cap have an even aged patina. The ramrod is present. The stock is good with a couple of small chips at the right forward barrel channel, worm holes in the barrel tang and trigger guard areas, and chips at the top rear of the side plate and at the rear of the lock. The rear lock screw is a replacement. With the exception that the hammer can be released with a trigger pull at half cock, the action functions correctly. Russian flintlock military pistols are rarely seen.
