"U.S. Model 1813 Flintlock Army Pistol (AH5759) DTX
Description: "U.S. Model 1813 Flintlock Army Pistol. Made by Simeon North, Middletown, CT., circa 1813 to 1815.The overall length is approximately 15 ¼". The .69 caliber, 8 7/8" Smoothbore barrel has a good bore. The barrel, band, trigger guard, and strap have a smooth gray/brown patina. The lock and cock have a smooth brown patina. The stock is very good with no chips or cracks and a visible cartouche. This pistol appears to have been expertly reconverted to flintlock. The barrel has the expected P/US and HHP but these may have been added during the reconversion. The lock is marked “S. North" over U Eagle S over “Midln Con". The action functions correctly. Only 626 were delivered to the army. This is a very hard to find pistol, priced at half of what it would be in original flint. Don’t miss this one!
