BRITISH GEORGE III KING’S GERMAN LEGION TOWER FLINTLOCK ARTILLERY PISTOL-CARBINE PISTOL CIRCA 1803. 20” o/a with 12 ½” round ribbed and floral decorated .65 cal. barrel. Small 4 ½” lock of Pattern 1803 Cavalry form with hammer safety and signed on tail “TOWER” with the King’s cypher and the Royal Ordnance “CROWN/BROAD ARROW” stamp. Walnut stock with Germanic carving about the rod terminus and German horn forend cap. Iron butt stock yoke for the shoulder stock on the wrist and flat iron plain butt cap plate. Iron trigger guard with German leaf finial. Excellent All original condition with the original metal patina and the original wood finish. Lock in working order and excellent bore. No shoulder stock. Very rare.
