We have for sale a pair of Double Barrel Flintlock Pistols made by CLOUGH of BATH ENGLAND. It is very possible that they were made by Clough and Sons of the same location, Bath England.
These finely made and engraved pistols seem to be of around .44 caliber. The rifling is of a heavy eight point pattern that measures about .364 across the lands and about .436 across the grooves. The guns are about 7.75 inches in length and have about 2 and 3/8 of an inch of barrel protruding from the frame. Each barrel has a number on it that corresponds with a number on the frame so that they could be removed and replaced in exactly the same location.
These are brass framed guns with blued steel screw in barrels, checkered grips, silver bolsters in the grip, and silver butt caps. Almost all of the parts are tastefullly engraved and the weapons appear to be fully functional and equipped with flints.
The price for these two pistols is $2700.00 with an additonal charge of $50.00 for shipping and handling to the lower 48.
