Early Flintlock Pistol Marked
"A. Paris
Description: An antique European flintlock pistol marked on the lockplate "A. Paris". The brass mountings on this pistol are relief carved and engraved The stock is walnut with some figure and also relief carved.The caliber is .58" Dimensions-- Overall 18.4" Barrel 12.15" Condition-- Iron parts are a medium gray color and were probably lightly cleaned years ago. The brass mounts are a light mustard color. The stock does not appear to have been sanded or refinished but has a large chip missing at the buttcap on the left side with some filler added and a hairline crack ar the wrist. The action is strong and crisp and the bore is dark. SOLD Antique: Yes |
