Originally Configured Flintlock Dragoon Pistol. Extremely Rare (Revolutionary War?)
Description: This UNaltered Beauty was almost certainly taken from a British soldier, 9” round barrel Comes from LIEGE and dates just after 1765. Pistols of this type were in wide use in England, Belgium as well as other Countries and the Civilian Market. This is a substantial brass mounted walnut stocked completely standard Military Flintlock Pistol. The pistol is unmarked, except for a CROWN over W proof mark on the lock plate just rear of the pan, and the number 3147 next to hammer on lock plate, and the Crown over B Proof on barrel. The condition on this piece is overall very good especially for the age with a pretty grey patina overall and a solid stock. Comes with a piece of flint in complete working condition. Very Nice piece in original and working configuration (Hardley Ever Found). Priced to Sell, Don't miss out!! SOLD Antique: Yes |
