From a Midwast sale, a antique pair of Sea Service pistols. I know nothing about these pistols, but at the sale they said these were were in a British Pattern but were most likely Dutch Navy. They both have 9" 69 caliber smooth bore, round barrels and the guns appear identical to me.. The triggers and locks function as they should, including half cock and have very strong hammer springs. The hammers both have leather wrapped flints. The touch holes and flash pans are good and the frizzens throw a good spark. Trigger guards, eschusion plates, nose caps, and butt plates are brass. The wood stocks of both pistols are solid with no cracks or chips; however, both have many small dents and dings (see photos). I can find no maker marks or proof marks on the guns, other than a Leige proof mark on one barrel (see photos). The metal surfaces have all faded to a pleasant grey patina. The bores are dark (I have not cleaned these guns). They had no additional information at the sale, but after close inspection they appear old and original to my untrained eye therefore, I am offering this set of pistols with a 100% satisfaction guarantee, if they do not live up to your expectations, in any way, return them for a full and speedy refund including your return shipping.
