A very fine pair of pistols with all silver mounts with silver smiths touch marks on the trigger guard tang. Butt caps have Grotesque masks. Barrel lengths are 9” and overall length are 15½”. Pistols function perfectly. Griffin & Tow are listed as being on New Bond Street, London in 1775. The silver mounts we left with normal tarnish. The new owner may polish them with a silver polish cloth if desired. These are very desirable Georgian officers pistols in excellent condition.
Note: Georgian Period was from 1760-1820, the reign of King George III of England.
