.54 caliber. 8.5" barrel secured by a single flat spring retained band. NSN. Bright finish, iron furniture, brass pan and front sight, walnut stock. Single shot smoothbore muzzleloading flintlock pistol with captive swivel ramrod, brass blade front sight, notch rear sight and iron buttcap. Waters marked lock is dated 1837. Lock remains in original flint. Counterpane with two weak script cartouches.

Condition
VERY FINE overall Bore moderately oxidized with some pitting. Metal cleaned to original arsenal white bright and dulling down to a steel gray patina. Markings in metal clear, weaker in wood. Mechanically strong lock is in original flint. Wood lightly sanded ion the past with scattered bumps, and dings.
