Wheeler & Son Flint Lock Trade Pistol

Description:
.69 cal, NVSN, 8 1/2 inch barrel, metal has dull silver finish, brass furniture, walnut stock, British proofs, Wheeler was contracted to make firearms for the North American fur trade, late 18th century.

Condition: barrel has smooth surface with double proofs, lock is dull silver with surface oxidation, brass trigger guard/butt cap/ram rod ferral/side plate are smooth aged yellow gold, wood has crack and chip at front of lock plate and crack through both side plate screws, mechanically very good, very good marks.
