Apache, Dolne, 5mm pinfire

Description:
This is a 5mm pinfire, Dolne, Apache, it features a revolver, dagger and brass knuckles, which could be concealed in one’s pocket.   The design was created around the 1860’s in Germany.  It began popular in gangs in pre-WW1 France, particularly Les Apache.  Handle and frame are made of brass with metal cylinder, dagger, and trigger.  The action is old and tired sometimes functioning and sometimes not. I believe it has a weak hammer return spring. The piece shows signs of wear, cylinder rotates but is loose and the floral pattern is lost in patina and age. The handle / brass knuckles folds into use without issues.  The dragger blade snaps into place and locks well.   It is a beautiful and “rare“ show piece.

Note, I had this piece display in a gun shop, the cylinder and action worked up until then. The asking price was then 4500.00.  However, it is now discounted to 3500.00  due to the unreliable action.   For more information email me, thanks.
