This is a very high quality Belgian turn barrel, folding trigger percussion muff pistol. The overall length is approx. 6"". The approx. 2.5"" octagon 49 caliber barrel has a good bore with light erosion. Looking at the muzzle, one would think it is rifled but the false rifling is cut straight and only extends about .5"". The barrel and all metal is bright. The exterior of the barrel is decorated with tight scrolls. The frame, hammer, and butt cap have decorative engraving. The left side of the barrel extension has the oval Belgian ELG proof mark. The frame bottom has an R over the serial number, 725. The bag shaped grips are excellent with no cracks or chips. The butt cap has a compartment for percussion caps. The trigger is almost undetectable when it is folded. With the exception that the hammer can be released with a trigger pull at half cock, the action functions correctly. The barrel can be easily unscrewed. This is a really nice percussion muff pistol.
