German Percussion Pistol with provision for shoulder stock. The overall length is approximately 17 ½". The 11 ½" round approximately. 65 Caliber barrel with a fair rifled bore with rust, all metal is bright with dark staining. There is old rust at the barrel junction with the stock. The stock is fair with cracks on the left and right forend. The action does not hold cock. The number 42 is on several of the small parts. There is a folding rear sight. The left stock flat is stamped TZ. The left sideplate is stamped “K.D./B.127.62" The backstrap is engraved No 296. The lock markings are indistinct. The lock has an unusual cross bolt safety that prevents the hammer from touching the percussion cap. This is an interesting example of a German Percussion pistol carbine.
