Barrel is half round half octagon. Gun has a captive ramrod. Metal stock has very fine engraving. The most unique part is the engraved eagle and shield found on the left hand side of the stock just above the trigger guard area. This was clearly done for the American market. These style guns were sold over in the U.S. market and some are found with the Hyde and Goodrich Marking. This gun came out of a collection with metal stocked guns and until then we have never encountered one of these with the Eagle and Shield motif!
