"Very fine percussion pistol by John Egg. Barrel is beautifully marked in fine script ""John Egg Paccefloor to D. Egg No 1 Pall Mall London"". This address was used 1832-1837. This is a beautifully made and finished pistol. The barrel finished has been restored. Bore is .65 caliber. Barrel is 9"" to the silver banded breech plug and 15"" overall. The barrel has a captive ramrod. The lock is engraved and marked John Egg. The butt cap, trigger guard, cock and breech plug tang are engraved. Lock has a sliding safety. The grip checkering is very good, no dents or abrasions. A fine officer's pistol made in the quality of the Durs Egg tradition.
