"Palmetto Model 1842 percussion pistol .54 caliber (AH8609) CONSIGNMENT

NSN, circa 1852, .54 caliber, 8.5"" round proofed barrel. Barrel and other iron parts are a shiny grey patina with heavy oxidation visible throughout. Faint markings are still visible on lock plate, rear has ""COLUMBIA/S.C./1852"". Stock is good with a crack noted upper side plate screw. Action holds at half and full cock. Only 1,000 of these pistols were made for the South Carolina Militia. Consignment
