Description:

Seaver Philadelphia Derringer Style pistol. 50 Caliber with 6” barrel. Breach plug is marked “ Seaver”. Very finely made. Barrel has been cleaned to bright metal but engraving near breach plug was preserved. Shield Escutcheon has the name “Guy Smith” from the research we have done, this gun could have belonged to Guy Smith of Cullman County, Alabama. He served as a captain of company D, 18 Alabama Regiment. He died in 1883.
