Colt 6” Pocket Cased
Description: SALE PENDING
Rare reverse cased 6" 1849 Colt Pocket with brass Colts Patent mold, double sided Eagle flask, caps and cartridge pack. Case alone is unusual and has a period warning label on lid. Where was it stored? Under counter at a store or bank? In a home with young children? We'll never know.
The revolver is in very fine condition with 90% dulling original blue with excellent mottled gray case colors. Cylinder scene is crisp and near 100%. Silver on T/G and B/S is 85-90% and appears to have have been cleaned. Overall, one of the finest two line New York Pockets I have seen and there is no Buyer's Premium! S/N 76889 mfd in 1853.
As can be seen in photos, the case lid has a grain crack and the interior has some material tears from revolver hammer and muzzle. No warping with all seams tight.
Please call or E Mail with questions or for additional photos. I will consider all reasonable offers.
