Description: EARLY HENRY DERINGER PHILADELPHIA PERCUSSION POCKET PISTOL CA. 1830-35. 8 ½” with 4” deeply rifled .48 caliber raised platform round barrel. Early circa 1830’s “Leafy Scroll” engraving and very small bag shaped checkered grip. Very small round trigger guard contemporary with the square back guard of the early 1830’s and early style pocket pistol maker stamping “DERINGER/PHILA” on the lower tail of the lock plate. Very early style “PINEAPPLE” trigger guard finial with spear point terminus. 100% original and untouched with all the dark original patina on the metal and the nicely patinated finish on the stock. Working order and bore with well defined rifling. Original ramrod. Early Deringers are very rarely seen for sale.
