FRENCH Antique TULLE ARSENAL .69 M1822 Percussion Conversion MILITARY T Bis Flintlock to Percussion & “1816 and 1821” Dated
Description: FRENCH Antique TULLE ARSENAL .69 M1822 Percussion Conversion MILITARY T Bis Flintlock to Percussion & “1816 and 1821” Dated Here Ancestry Guns presents an antique French Model 1822 Percussion Conversion Military Pistol, made circa the early 1820s at the French State Arsenal Tulle, France. Founded in 1690, the Manufacture Nationale d’Armes de Tulle, referred to in English as the “Tulle National Weapons Factory”, was a French state-owned weapons manufacturer. Tulle Arsenal was one of the main French small arms producing centers from the 17th century through to the 20th. It was, though, of lesser importance to the main arsenals at Saint-Étienne, Maubeuge, and Châtellerault. This pistol would have started out life as a flintlock and period converted at a later date. This pistol is very likely to have seen action in any of France’s many colonies during this period. Other significant conflicts include the Second French Intervention in Mexico as well as the Franco-Prussian War. The overall condition is good. Strong action. The bore is good for its age, bored smooth and remains clear. Solid stock with less than average handling/storage wear. Markings are legible. Barrel dated “1821” and barrel tang dated “1816”. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 7-3/4 inches. Caliber: .69 Percussion Conversion Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. $1150 #259862 SOLD Antique: Yes |
