Model 1842 N.P. Ames, 1844 Lock, 54 Caliber

Description:
This Ames has a J on the hammer and trigger guard. The breech is 1844 with RP over P. The front sight was later added. Mechanical function on this one is very good. There is no cartouche remaining.
