Description:

Pair of Tryon Philadelphia .50 Caliber Percussion Muff Pistols. Very interesting pair with double “safety” features. First feature has an appearance of being a frizzen, but is a guard to the nipple. Second feature is located on tang behind hammer and locks the “frizzen” in place, by sliding forward. Actions and drop-down triggers work perfectly. Receivers are marked Tryon Philadelphia. Frames and barrels have British proofs. Grips are checkered. One of the pairs grips have some age cracks. A neat and unusual pair of .50 caliber Muff Pistols.
