Description:
E.M. Reilly (London) double barrel percussion belt pistol. Made circa 1850, features include Damascus barrels (6.5 inches, .785-inch muzzle diameter, .590-inch groove diameter, .585-inch land diameter, sights). Features include a belt clip and a trapdoor grip cap. Weight is 2.8 pounds. CONDITION: The bores are browned with uniform moderate roughness and softened rifling. Likely restored, barrel finish is approximately 90 percent over minor traces of roughness. Balance of metal finish has silvered with some minor roughness to surface areas. Metal is generally proud to wood. Healed crack at upper tang left. Mechanics are solid. CASE: A maker's case with label, bullet mold, tools and accessories is included.
