RELIC 1848 First Model Dragoon Pistol .44 Black Powder Percussion no FFL
Description: $750 obo. Civil War era. There is no makers name on it, and it’s likely foreign from Europe or South America. Parts are missing or broken, but it is nevertheless a genuine First Model style Dragoon pistol. No springs, no nipples, nothing in useable condition, but the grips are really nice. Well made originally. Oddly, the only part of this gun that will actually interchange with an original Colt Dragoon is the cylinder. It is on a wall mount which has a brass plaque that could be engraved. While it's in rough condition at this point in time, it undobtedly saw service in the field between the time of the American Civil War through the Indian Wars, and perhaps the Mexican Revolution as well. At some point it achieved Relic condition and I believe it to be beyond restoration for most collectors. Very interesting, though. No returns, sold as-is to a legal purchaser. Please email any questions. Antique: Yes Price: $750.00 Contact Seller |
