Tryon of Philadelphia Percussion Pistol
Description: .45 caliber smooth bore, NVSN, "No. 5" engraved on silver escutcheon plate, 5 inch barrel, iron barrel/lock/ramrod "in the white", brass trigger guard/fore end cap/ramrod feral, "TRYON.PHILADA." on top barrel flat, "TRYON" on back action lock plate, walnut stock, no embellishment, believe this pistol was made for the western trade, 1830's-1840's. Condition: very good bore, iron parts smooth silver gray, brass is aged mustard color, excellent stock, screw missing on front of trigger strap, small chip on right side of stock at the fore end cap, excellent mechanically, excellent marks.
