VERY RARE TRIPLE Barrel ANIMAL TRAP & ALARM GUN
Description: VERY RARE TRIPLE Barrel ANIMAL TRAP & ALARM GUN TRIPLE BARREL Patent by George Smith w Pistol Grip Here we present an antique George Smith & Company Combination Three-Barrel Animal Trap and Burglar Alarm Gun, made circa 1860, in New York City. The total quantity of these produced is currently unknown, but they are exceedingly rare. It was designed to anchor to an object with bait at the business end if one was trapping an animal. If one wished to use it as an alarm for their residence, the user simply attached it to the door after having loaded it with powder. The hammer comes down on a single nipple, which is vented to all three barrels. The barrels are made of heavy iron. It is a very neat piece. A previous owner decided to make it capable of being fired from the hand, so there is a hand-made pistol grip that accompanies this piece. Overall condition is very good. The iron parts have a dark gray patina. The top of the hammer bears the patent information. The bores are smooth and in very good condition. The action is functional. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 2-3/4 inches in length. Caliber: .34 Percussion Bores are in very good condition. The firing mechanism is functional. Overall condition as seen in photos. Here is a fascinating rarity of a firearm for your collection. Trap an animal, keep your residence safe, or shoot it by hand! It allows a very interesting insight into the times. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1500 #21875 SOLD Antique: Yes |
