Description: Wilkinson & Son (London) percussion belt pistol. Serial 5161, as lettered (included) was made in 1839 as bespoke by the 4th Earl of Ashburnham. Features include a six-inch swamped barrel (smoothbore, .885-inch muzzle diameter, .388 bore diameter, sights, hammer safety, belt clip and a trapdoor grip cap. Weight is 1.6 pounds. No case is present. CONDITION: The bore is smooth and bright with some minor discoloration. Colors are approximately 50 percent under cracking overcoat. Guard blue is approximately 20 percent.
