Description:
Beautiful Astra Model 3003 silver engraved semiautomatic pistol with solid top slide and late configuration safety, cal. 7.65mm (.32ACP), SN: 716021, made 1952, with extensive hand engraving, especially deep over the slide, with coverage to include the entire slide and most of the frame, sparing only the grip safety. ASTRA U/C logo behind front sight. Eibar triad of proof marks on the left tang with the automatic pistol proof repeated on the exposed barrel hood under the caliber. The serial number or last few digits under the slide and barrel. Most of the small parts are highly polished and chrome plated including the extractor, hold open, trigger, magazine release, grip screws and "ASTRA" marked magazine. Fitted with pearlite grips. Complete with matching factory box and literature. No spare magazine or cleaning rod.
Condition:
Excellent original condition retaining 99+% of the original silver-plated finish. Little evidence of actual use, though the chrome on the trigger is lightly oxidized/scuffed in the usual contact areas. Pearlite grips with minute surface scratches. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics. VG literature and box, the latter with edge wear and scuffing, the "3003" label lost from the upper lid.
