Astra M400 Pistol (1921), Spanish Military, Late Production, 92560, A-1844

Description:
Standard configuration M1921 (400), caliber 9mm Largo, as made and marked for the Spanish Military just after the Civil War. Slide marked with the usual Astra U/C logo followed by the four line address reflecting manufacturer, location, model and caliber. Left side of trigger guardwith Spanish Military (Nationalist) acceptance. Matching serial number on the barrel, slide, and frame, close to the Nazi contract range. Fitted with coarsely checkered walnut grips. Late, Astra marked magazine. Synopsis: Astra M400 Pistol (1921), Spanish Military, 1940 Production, Madrid Armory, Matching. Condition: VG+, as reworked a long time ago, determined by blueing inside slide and frame, areas that originally would have been in-the-white. Darkly oiled grips with a few areas of blunting and checkering loss. Comparable condition magazine. Bright bore with sharp rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. A very attractive and all matching Astra M400 (1921) with an interesting military background. ~~Insured shipping fee of $45; most packages shipped using FedEx 2nd Day.~~
