It was designed to be very modular in nature, similar to the U.S. M4 carbine. It’s interesting to note that the U.S. Army, who put out the contract, ultimately purchased 350 APC9K SMG’s in 2019 for use by its Personal Security Detachments. Despite submissions from bigger name brands like H&K, Sig Sauer, CZ, and PTR, the nice little B&T won the contract.
