REISING ~ TARGET AUTOMATIC ~ .22 LONG RIFLE
Description: Mr. Reising was a contemporary and employee of John Browning and played a significant role in the development of the Colt 1911. He went out on his own and developed a machine gun for the troops in WWII, but before that had turned a hand to this target pistol. The general form factor of the pistol follows the 1911 pattern. The magazine is two-tone, as were early 1911 mags, de to heat treatment interfering with the bluing process. Nice little pistol, but we need to make the statement, use standard velocity ammo. My research indicates that modern high velocity ammo may be too much for them. .22 Long Rifle Chambers: 12 + 1 capacity Metal Condition: "Very good. There is some blue wear around the muzzle, and other sharp edges. Wood Condition: Very good. The checkering may be a little flattened. Bore Condition: Shiny and bright. Barrels: 6-3/4 inches Triggers: Factory single action only. Stock Dimensions: Very reminiscent of the Colt 1911. Butt Pad: Brown hard rubber grips with a Bear motif and checkering molded in. Weight: 30 OZ Sights: "Semi-fixed sights. Windage may be adjusted by ""drifting"" the rear sight, elevation by judicious filing or replacing the steel post and repinning in its holder.
