This semi-automatic pistol is a Smith & Wesson Model 41 chambered in .22 LR. The Smith & Wesson Model 41 was developed by Smith & Wesson after World War II as a competitive target pistol. It was designed with a 105 degree grip angle, the same as the Colt M1911 pistol, to maintain a consistent grip angle. This pistol has a Patridge fixed blade ramped front sight, adjustable square notch rear sight, thumb-rest diamond checkered wrap-around wood grips, an adjustable trigger stop, a left-side thumb safety, and a slightly recessed mag well in the base of the grips. It does show considerable observable pitting and flecking on the forward half of the barrel. The wood grips are in very good condition.
