Smith & Wesson Single Shot Model of 1891 .22LR pistols. This set includes the First Model, Second Model and Third “Perfected Model” Pistols. All three come with factory letters from Smith & Wesson historian Roy Jinks. All three have excellent condition bores with plenty of good rifling remaining. They are all matching numbers on the frame, barrel and the barrel latch.
1st Model of 1891 was manufactured in 1905 and is one of 862 manufactured. It has a 10” barrel and comes as pictured with the leather covered oak case, several vintage ammunition boxes (with some ammo in them) and a very hard to find Smith & Wesson screwdriver for adjusting the rear sight.
2nd Model of 1891 was manufactured in 1908 and is one of 4,617 manufactured. It comes with the rare 6” barrel and is in excellent condition. The front sight on this one was upgraded to the “Patridge Sight” either by special order or after purchase. This was an option but it was not recorded in the ledger when it was manufactured. The grips are a period correct aftermarket set that fit the pistol perfectly.
3rd Model of 1891 was manufactured in 1922 and is one of 7,024. This example has a 10” barrel and the rare “Olympic Chamber” as documented in the factory letter. This one is also in excellent condition with the original factory walnut grips.
I WILL NOT split this set up. This is for all three with everything pictured.

Smith & Wesson Single Shot Model of 1891 .22LR pistols. This set includes the First Model, Second Model and Third “Perfected Model” Pistols. All three come with factory letters from Smith & Wesson historian Roy Jinks. All three have excellent condition bores with plenty of good rifling remaining. They are all matching numbers on the frame, barrel and the barrel latch.
1st Model of 1891 was manufactured in 1905 and is one of 862 manufactured. It has a 10” barrel and comes as pictured with the leather covered oak case, several vintage ammunition boxes (with some ammo in them) and a very hard to find Smith & Wesson screwdriver for adjusting the rear sight.
2nd Model of 1891 was manufactured in 1908 and is one of 4,617 manufactured. It comes with the rare 6” barrel and is in excellent condition. The front sight on this one was upgraded to the “Patridge Sight” either by special order or after purchase. This was an option but it was not recorded in the ledger when it was manufactured.
