Beretta 92F in Italian Factory Soft Case - Made in Italy - 1985 No Import Stamp - Wood Grips - Like New Unfired

Description:

Here is a unique and desirable 1985 Beretta 92F, manufactured exclusively in Italy. This was a gift to our consignee while doing business in Italy with Beretta in '85.
The piece has an “AN” date code, 1985, which is the year the U.S. military replaced the Colt 1911 with the Beretta 92 as the U.S. military’s sidearm.
Most notably, this piece has no Beretta factory import stamp, which would normally have been the second line of the factory roll-mark.

The piece came in an unusual Beretta semi-hard case with gray foam interior and dark blue outer shell. The case remains in better than fair condition. The outer cardboard sleeve is fully intact and numbered to the pistol by serial and factory option codes. Accompanying the pistol are two original, new, unused factory magazines.

The pistol has a single line nomenclature on both sides of the slide, as opposed to the standard two-line which bore the factory import stamp of Berben Corp, or, Beretta USA ACKK MD. We’ve not seen another 92F “MADE IN ITALY” pistol baring this single-line, roll-mark.
The right slide of the slide reads: “MOD 92 F – CAL. 9 Parabellum – PATENTED”, the left reads: “PIETRO BERETTA GARDONE VT. – MADE IN ITALY”

About excellent in unfired condition. The finish shows several minor handling marks, noting nothing significant nor damaged. The factory finish rates near excellent. The checkered walnut, medallion grips are extremely fine, as new, without damage.
The bore remains bright, showing strong lands and grooves, appears unfired beyond factory. There is no indication the piece has been carried.
 Overall, the piece, two magazines and the box rate near excellent and complete.
