This P. BERETTA MODEL 1934 was produced in 1942 in the Kingdom of Italy and had been issued to the Regio Esercito – The Italian Royal Army during the Second World War.
No import stamps on this wartime Beretta, a true American GI bring-back.

This piece has a pristine bore with strong rifling, mechanically excellent condition. Has all matched numbers, bears armory acceptance stamp Crown over RE, Italian Royal Army and “1942 XX”, denoting the twentieth year of the Fascist era.
Chambered in .380 ACP, 7+1 capacity, with a barrel length of 3.4”, this compact service pistol was the standard sidearm of Italian officers, NCOs, and specialized troops. This is a true Axis-issued combat sidearm with undeniable wartime character. A no-nonsense fighting pistol which earned its stripes in real combat during the Second World War.
The absence of post-1968 importer stamps states this pistol was brought into the United States prior to the Gun Control Act as a GI bring-back.

Original, non-import stamped WWII Axis pistols with honest service wear carry significantly higher historical appeal and much greater collector interest than any later, non-war, import piece.
In this officers wartime configuration, showing correct military markings, the two original magazines and the original leather holster, this is a strong collector-grade example with great historical appeal as well as great display character.
