Its various models are becoming increasingly popular as more and more people try out this excellent pistol. The Mete (pronounced Met-Ay) is one of the newest iterations, the one shown here being the PRO model. The new Mete SFT PRO combines features from both the TP9 SF Elite and TP9 SFx models and is geared towards fulfilling the same rolls those pistols fulfill, providing the same performance, but with some style added into the mix. The PRO uses the same flat-faced aluminum trigger used in the Rival model. The short-reset trigger has a light, crisp pull out of the box thanks to its nickel-coated action components. The Mete SFT PRO features a match-grade 5-inch-long, threaded and fluted barrel, a low-profile ambidextrous slide stop, a blacked out rear sight and tritium dot front sight. The slide has lightening cutouts to keep the balance of the pistol close to the standard full-size TP9 and Mete models. The grip features an integral flared-mag-well although the larger Speed flared adaptor which fits over the original mag-well flare is included in the box. As with the standard TP9/Mete, the frame is equipped with a 1913 picatinny under-barrel rail. The magazine catch is reversible for left-hand shooters. One major improvement over the optic ready TP9 models is that the rear sight and optic plate are now separate, allowing for the user to co-witness their chosen optic with the pistol’s base iron sights. Another improvement over the TP9 is the internal changes made to the pistol to allow for easier disassembly. These begin with the easy-in-easy-out push pins which can be removed using a little pressure from a punch (see accessories below). Once these are removed, the internal parts are arranged to be modular enough that a complete disassembly and reassembly of the pistol is possible just using the punch. The Mete SFT PRO comes with a very high number of accessories compared to most name brand pistols such as Smith & Wesson, Ruger, Glock, and H&K. The SFT PRO comes with two mounting plates that fit the Trijicon RMRcc and Shield RMS/RMSc micro-optics. However, the PRO model can even mount the the RMRcc directly onto the slide providing the shooter with a true co-witness. The grip features an integral flared-mag-well although the larger Speed flared adaptor which fits over the original mag-well flare is included in the box. As with the standard TP9/Mete, the frame is equipped with a 1913 picatinny under-barrel rail. The magazine catch is reversible for left-hand shooters. One major improvement over the optic ready TP9 models is that the rear sight and optic plate are now separate, allowing for the user to co-witness their chosen optic with the pistol’s base iron sights. Another improvement over the TP9 is the internal changes made to the pistol to allow for easier disassembly. These begin with the easy-in-easy-out push pins which can be removed using a little pressure from a punch (see accessories below). Once these are removed, the internal parts are arranged to be modular enough that a complete disassembly and reassembly of the pistol is possible just using the punch. The Mete SFT PRO comes with a very high number of accessories compared to most name brand pistols such as Smith & Wesson, Ruger, Glock, and H&K. The SFT PRO comes with two mounting plates that fit the Trijicon RMRcc and Shield RMS/RMSc micro-optics. However, the PRO model can even mount the the RMRcc directly onto the slide providing the shooter with a true co-witness. Also included as accessories are two spare backstraps for the grip, a reversible IWB/OWB holster, Canik punch and tool kit, cleaning tools, one 20-round and one 18-round magazines, a magazine loading tool, and a small wrench for removing the barrel’s thread protector (should a situation arise where the protector cannot be removed by hand). The advanced Holster Fit-and-Lock (HFL) retention holster allows the SFT PRO to be holstered with a red dot mounted. The tool kit is neatly shaped like a miniature Mete. This pistol is brand new and remains unfired outside of factory testing.

The Canik TP9 is one of the recent and newly popular pistols to be imported to the American market. Its various models are becoming increasingly popular as more and more people try out this excellent pistol. The Mete (pronounced Met-Ay) is one of the newest iterations, the one shown here being the PRO model. The new Mete SFT PRO combines features from both the TP9 SF Elite and TP9 SFx models and is geared towards fulfilling the same rolls those pistols fulfill, providing the same performance, but with some style added into the mix. The PRO uses the same flat-faced aluminum trigger used in the Rival model. The short-reset trigger has a light, crisp pull out of the box thanks to its nickel-coated action components.
