A Very Early U.S. Mexican War To Civil War Military Issued Model 1836 Flintlock Pistol By Robert Johnson
Description: A Very Early U.S. Mexican War To Civil War U.S. Military Issued Model 1836 Flintlock Pistol Dated 1844 By Robert Johnson In Very Good Untouched Condition. All original and complete. Made from 1836 until 1844. The pistol has very good untouched metal and good markings throughout with nice edges. Marked on the lock, "US./R. JOHNSON/MIDDN CONN/1844." and on the top of the barrel It is partially U.S. Sub Inspected, "P" (The other marks are faded & barely visible). All of the metal on the pistol has a nice untouched look to it with an even and natural darkening patina throughout it. All of the wood on the carbine is also nice throughout with very good edges and a nice even color to it. There are two very light but visible edges of U.S. Inspectors Cartouches on the backside of the wood opposite the lock. The pistol has a very good bore and action in it. This is A Very Good Example Of An Early 1844 Dated U.S. Civil War U.S. Mexican War To Civil War U.S. Military Issued Model 1836 Flintlock Pistol Dated 1844 By "R.
