Remington New Model 1858 Percussion Revolver 44 cal Bore Exc, Mech Exc tight crisp action, Has original wood grips with excellent cartouche on the right side. Has an original 8” Oct barrel with original front sight and has a VG mostly visible but weak in the center Remington address and New Model markings .Serial# 62885 Mfg’d 1863 puts it in the middle of the Government order which ended around 119,000. Has inspector initials in several places. Metal overall has an aged grey patina finish with traces of some very fine pitting.
