Description:
The Model 1908, Pocket Hammerless, or Colt Automatic, (all names used for the same pistol), was a .380 ACP upgrade of the Model 1903. They are slim, small, and lightweight, and were liked by militaries, police, and bad guys everywhere because they could be carried very discretely. The .380 ACP was developed specifically for these guns to shorten the slide motion while replicating the performance of the .38 Special. This one was manufactured in 1925. It does show evidence of deep carry with most of the blemishes on the left side of the gun, suggesting it was carried by a right-handed person in a right pocket, near the skin. That being said, it is in marvelous condition for a 100-year-old pistol, with sharp stamps, and good grips with no cracks. .380 ACP
