1911A1 ITHACA. SERIAL #916220. DUAL MARKED SLIDE AND FRAME "M1911A1 U.S. ARMY". THIS PISTOL FALLS AT THE END OF THE ACCEPTED RANGE OF 906753-916404. ITHACA MADE REPLACEMENT SLIDES THAT WERE SO MARKED AND USED THEM IN PRODUCTION UNTIL SUPPLIES RAN OUT. WHILE NOT QUITE MINT, THIS EXAMPLE IS EXCELLENT. HAS MOST ALL ORIGINAL PARKERIZING. JUST SOME HIGH EDGE WEAR AND THE SMALL MARKS BY THE TAKEDOWN. HIGH STANDARD BARREL IS PRETTY MINT. REAR OF SLIDE HAS FLAMING BOMB UNDER FIRING PIN STOP. IT HAS PARTIAL MARKING INSIDE FRAME BELLY.
