For sale is a Colt MK IV / Series 70 1911 Government Model semi-automatic pistol, chambered in the iconic .45 ACP cartridge. This pistol is in very good used condition and was manufactured in 1982 – part of Colt's Series 70 production run from 1970 to 1983, known for a return to classic design elements and quality craftsmanship.
This is a complete package: the pistol comes with three magazines, three sets of grips (beautiful walnut wrap-around ergonomic grips, Colt black synthetic checkered standard, and Colt wooden checkered with Colt badge), and a Bianchi Leather Holster Model 57 for Colt 1911 Pistols.
The Series 70 features the classic 1911 design with a 5-inch barrel, fixed GI combat sights, and the traditional grip safety and manual thumb safety. The barrel is in great condition. There is light corrosion/rust at the end of the slide – a mild abrasive cleaning will remove it easily. The pistol is mechanically excellent.
