Engraved and Gold Inlaid Colt Super .38. Fantastic post-war Super .38 made in 1949. The gun is engraved with fancy scroll and has profuse gold inlays and plating. The slide has gold line border inlays, as well as several deep relief gold inlays featuring an eclectic mix of wildlife and western scenes. The small parts have been gold plated. The genuine pearl grips are steer head carved on one side with gold horns and ruby eyes. Also included is a .22 conversion unit, just as profusely engraved and gold inlaid but with different scenes and vignettes. The whole thing’s as gaudy as a peacock and looks great.
