Its my first time and im selling the first gun from the famiy vault, a 1911 Colt .38 AMU (created for the Army Marksmanshilp Unit in very limited quantities) this particular pistol was accurized by the great James Clark at his shop in Shreveport, LA. The proof markings are located under the slide and reads from left 304 which is the last three serial numbers of the frame, Mr Clarks shop stamp and 163 for January 1963 when the work was done. The number 304 also appears by the barrel link on the original barrel. This pistol is over 60 yrs old and is in excellent shape. The pistol was used mostlly in competitive shootings and was tucked away in the early 80s. Wooden grips are excellent with very crisp checkering. Check out the photos, this is a great gun and a real good shooter. It has some minor surface scratches, but otherwise its clean and tight and it works great. Mechanically excellent! The bore is bright and shiny. Comes with two original factory mags. Only asking $3500. please check out my listings.
