Beautiful Colt 1911 Pre War Post War (1947) .38 Super

Description:

This is a 100% original Colt .38 Super made up after the war in 1947, the first year of post war .38 Super production which began in June of 1947. It has the Pre War hammer and rear slide lock with a post war front slide stop and arched main spring. Sand blasted new post war finish on top of slide and frame lower with high polished sides. WW11 plastic checkered grips and proper magazine marked on bottom Bore and action like new. A hint of high edge wear on muzzle and light idiot line. Really nice early fat barrel.
