Colt 1911A1 RS Stamped US Army Brushed Blue Rare

Rare US Army contract 1911A1 manufactured in 1940 inspected by Colonel Robert Sears.  This particular example was shipped in 1941 and is completely original. It bares serial number 727382 and us US Property marked designating it was produced under the contract for production from 1938-1940.  It still retains the Pre-World War II brushed blue finish and fitted with the original brown checkered grips.  All serial numbers match on this example.  This 1911A1 has the correct RS stamp designating inspection by Robert Sears below the slide stop.  It comes with the half-tone blue magazine. The condition of this 1911A1 is 94% with some high edge wear and minor freckling on left side of the slide. There is also a spot on the underside of the frame with some blue loss.  The grips are in excellent condition. The pistol will come with a factory letter.  Overall this is a fantastic example of a very rare all original brushed blue 1911A1. Price is $7,250 plus $75 from my FFL to yours.
