Standard configuration Colt Government Model .45 pistol, SN: 248450-C, made 1951, blue finish with 5" barrel, fixed front sight with drift adjustable rear sight. Left side of slide marked "GOVERNMENT MODEL COLT AUTOMATIC CALIBER .45" with rampant Colt logo, while right side of slide bears "COLT'S MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A" with serial number "248450-C" on the frame. Fitted with brown checkered Coltwood grips displaying rampant Colt logo. Blued magazine marked "COLT .45 AUTO" on base, with 5 indicator holes. Complete with original brown-textured factory box featuring handwritten "Sgt Stannard" and "248-363-C" with red rampant Colt stamp on lid interior, serial number handwritten (barely visible) on bottom of box, with original instructional literature, Colt factory letter showing shipment to Military Dept, State Armory Property and Procurement Division, Hartford, CT, and cleaning brush.

Crisp 99+% bright original factory blue with minor sharp edge wear at muzzle and forward frame. Minimal operational scuffing on exposed barrel hood.
